HOW WE DO IT
Our Process and Standards
At Firefly, our work is defined by what happens behind the scenes. We build our lighting systems with durable low-voltage wiring, carefully sealed connections, and premium fixtures to ensure reliable performance in any condition.
Installation Discipline
Placement, aiming, and balance all play a critical role in how lighting looks, performs, and feels once the sun sets.
Every installation is owner led and supervised ensuring each fixture is positioned intentionally, connections are protected, systems are tested and the delicate balance of design, functionality, and durability is achieved.
This approach guarantees every system reflects the same care and intent in execution as it does design.

LIFETIME WARRANTY ON EVERY SYSTEM
We take pride in how our systems are designed and installed. Because of our confidence in materials, methods, and craftsmanship, every installation is backed by a lifetime fixture warranty under normal operating conditions—AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU!
Designed for real-world conditions
Outdoor lighting systems are constantly exposed to moisture, temperature swings, ground movement, yard maintenance, and seasonal changes that affect both performance and longevity over time.
Our process accounts for these conditions from the start. Every system installed is planned with a deep understanding of how the site behaves long-term.
**By designing for real-world exposure upfront, our systems are built with durability and reliability in mind.
Preventing failure at connection points
Most off-the-shelf and DIY lighting systems rely on quick-connect or loosely sealed connections designed for speed and ease of installation rather than long-term exposure. When moisture enters these critical points, corrosion begins and performance degrades over time, leading to flickering and outages.
Our low-voltage systems are installed using durable, tin coated wiring and a proven, tradecraft soldering technique to permanently seal each connection point preventing moisture intrusion and corrosion, the primary cause of system failure.
**With over 500 systems installed across the region, we have never had a connection fail!
Fixtures chosen for long-term exposure
Material choice determines how a lighting fixture ages with UV and moisture exposure. Lower-grade materials can corrode, discolor, or lose structural integrity over time, affecting both appearance and performance.
At Firefly, we only offer and install fixtures constructed from solid copper, bronze, and brass selected for their durability and predictable aging characteristics. These materials maintain their integrity and appearance over time, allowing systems to continue performing and looking as intended.
**All fixtures are custom designed and filled per install — never boxed or store-bought.
Light Quality and Consistency for Life
Lower-grade light sources often vary in color temperature and output, resulting in patchy illumination and a lack of visual cohesion. As a system ages, inconsistent output, color shift, and uneven performance can change how a property looks, feels, and functions after dark.
We specify the highest-quality light sources selected for consistent, low-voltage output and stability. This ensures lighting remains balanced across the property, preserving the intended design without requiring adjustments or bulb replacements.
**Our design and installation methods prevent patchy lighting, color mismatch, and uneven output as the system ages.
